Thanks to a grant of £4,665,700 from the National Lottery Heritage Fund a major project to restore and transform Scarborough’s South Cliff Gardens has been approved.
Total funding will now be just over £7 million.
This will rescue the gardens from a point of critical decline, and breathe new life into them so that they will appeal to the 21st century.
The main work of this exciting scheme begins in January 2021.
